- The Implementation and Middle Office associate will support growth of Global Trade by managing the client on-boarding, documentation and technical implementation.
- Global Trade, part of J.P. Morgan's Wholesale Payments business, is a critical element of a complete client relationship, and an important component of our international growth strategy. We offer financing and risk mitigation products that include Supply Chain Finance, Export / ECA Finance, Trade Loans, Receivables Finance and Purchase, Commercial Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, and Guarantees.
Detailed Description:
- The Implementation and Middle Office associate for India will support growth of Global Trade by managing the client on-boarding, documentation and technical implementation.
- The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of internal functional partners in order to ensure seamless end to end solutions delivery.
- The role requires strong knowledge of Trade Finance & Supply Chain Finance products including web-based solutions, the technical and operational aspects.
- This position will be based at Mumbai and report to the Head of Trade Implementation and Middle Office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop deal execution approach and manage all aspects of client on-boarding, documentation and technical implementation for Structured Trade Finance products.
- Provide innovative solutions and proactively addresses the needs of customers by leveraging experience and market knowledge to drive value-added dialogue.
- Proactively engage with Product and Sales on planning and prioritization decisions for pipeline implementation.
- Collaborate closely with regional and global peers and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of transactions as well as participate in global projects.
- Manage the negotiation and execution of agreements and documentation with the client and internal coordination with relevant J.P. Morgan functional teams.
- Manage the client facing front-end system delivery, system testing and set-up ensuring all implementation tasks are completed on schedule.
- Monitor and drive projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing issue resolution process and taking corrective action as necessary
- Proactively identify risks and control issues, bring the appropriate resources together, and drive the design and implementation of solutions, decision making, and risk mitigation.
- Drive a high performance culture, sharing of best practices, cross training and synergies amongst Trade Middle Office team members to ensure a sustainable delivery model.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of Trade Finance products or relevant experience in banking with strong working knowledge of India legal & regulatory framework pertaining to Trade.
- Experience in implementing Structured Trade Finance including SCF, receivable Purchase , Inventory Finance will be added advantage.
- Experience in collaborating with client facing teams, technology, operation, service, risk, compliance and legal teams and command strong influencing skills.
- Proven strategic thinker and creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated & confident decision-maker with the ability to demonstrate leadership, challenging and influencing change where necessary.
